There are many ways our people use their gifts and passions for serving the church and our community from helping teach our children's classes to serving in our food pantry and clothing closet. Here's a snapshot of some of the ministries here at Hueytown First.
We love to hear from visitors interested in joining our church and growing their relationship with Jesus.
Nobody was made for life alone - we need each other. Small Groups are a great way to cultivate meaningful relationships around our shared journey with Jesus.
We want your kids to love church! That's why we're committed to creating safe and fun environments where your children are taught about the Bible and the love of Jesus through relevant and age-appropriate kids services.
We believe young people are the church of today. Our students are incredibly important to us and we love getting to be a part of their lives. We offer many different opportunities for students to study together, have fun together, and retreat together.
At Hueytown First we seek to provide opportunities for meaningful relationships and spiritual growth for people of all ages. Our adult ministries provide age, stage, and gender-specific connection opportunities where we'd love to have you connect.
All of us experience times of crisis and we are committed to helping shoulder the load. Ministries like our Food Pantry and Clothing Closet help provide some practical needs while our counseling and freedom groups provide opportunities to deal with our hurt, habits, and hangups.
The church was never intended to be just a weekend gathering but a movement of people changing the world around them. At Hueytown First we are committed to serving our neighbors, our city, and our world through Community Service Projects and Short-Term Missions Trips.
Since we serve a creative God, we celebrate creativity through music and the arts. These ministries help support our Traditional Service as well as special events, concerts, and classes.
Through our scouting ministry our children have the opportunity to grow in their faith, character, and resourcefulness while having a lot of fun together.
Since 1986, the Childcare Center at Hueytown First United Methodist Church has offered care to any child ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. We provide care to meet spiritual, social, educational and nutritional needs, as well as promoting physical development and direct service to the enrolled children and their families. It is our goal to enrich the life of the whole child.
